October is shaping up to be pretty busy...

I have a couple shows at some cool galleries in South Florida. The first place that I got invited to is called the Bear and Bird Boutique and Gallery. The cool thing about this place is that it is a killer combo of comic store and art gallery. I originally sent them an e-mail in March to inquire about participating in some upcoming shows. I got a "thanks for your interest" e-mail back. Didn't think much of it... went on with me business and lo and behold they e-mailed me back! The Small Stuff 3 show is all small inexpensive pieces by various artists. See the list here: edbot5000.blogspot.com/2009/10…

Check out the Bear and Bird gallery here: www.tatescomics.com/bearandbir…

The next show is at Howl Gallery in Ft. Myers. I recently sent them an email and got invited to their 1st Annual Dia de los Muertos Group Show. This place is a tattoo/gallery/retail space. I got invited to both of these shows pretty recently and am doing all new paintings for both shows since the exhibits will overlap.

Basically, I have lots of stuff to do... Hopefully I'll meet some cool new people and get into some more shows down the road!

I am working on the new chapter of Shyloh as well... Got the first 3 pages pretty much done. Got 4 more plus the cover for the next Unleashed. There are talks of a Christmas issue where the artists do a couples pages each of 1 big story. The script has been done, but I haven't seen it yet...

I need to finish on a good note this year and have something to build on for 2010!
